Button Up In Diesel

Only our cover star David Gandy popped into the Diesel store on Carnaby Street wearing a very fetching shearling jacket from the AW collection, & very nice it looks too.
As it is now officially coat season (brrr) it is wise to invest in something warm.
We have worked out for you that at £950 it may seem on the pricey side. However!
If you take into account you'll probably wear it for at least a third of the year, the material will improve with age & it's a classic shape. You'll probably get a good five years wear out of it.
Taking all this into account it would cost you less than £1.57 per wear.
Which is infinitely cheaper than the mid-priced shirt with it's tags still attached
gathering dust in your wardrobe.

Diesel @ Carnival

Sunday afternoon meant our yearly pilgrimage to west London for Notting Hill Carnival, specifically to attend a fabulous bash hosted by the Ambassadors of Diesel's Stupid Island.
We ate jerk chicken and mounds of halloumi whilst sipping on rum punch and checking out the fashion heavy crowd. DJing stalwarts Nick Grimshaw and Jamie Winstone supplied the sounds while we got down with our bad selves & accosted the lovely Vanessa White from the Saturdays.

Field Day

Never ones to miss a story we trundled over to Field Day in victoria Park
on Saturday to see P.R to the stars Carl Marshall,
who had recreated Diesel Island with his own fair hands in the V.I.P section.
Doesn't this look inviting? If it had been a degree or two warmer Frank would be splayed out on that rug topping up his already impressive tan.
Also bands played.

It reminds us of his Coitus cover for all the right reasons.

Press Day: Diesel

Yesterday we hot-footed it up to Kings Cross to see Diesel's offerings. Next season a strong collegiate trend will run through the collections; varsity jackets, oversized knits, plaids & shearling, there will be a strong military vibe aswell mixing in khaki greens with epilates & leather finishes as well as Diesel's ubiquitous rock look, this time with a softer edge, think leather but with tweed arm patches. We ate scones.

Limitless

We love ourselves a bit of Bradley Cooper & he looks especially dashing here in this leather jacket from Diesel, who FYI dressed him for the majority of the film. Excellent work!

Diesel *heart* Adidas

By now you may or may not have heard about the amazing collaboration between denim darlings Diesel & sportswear superstars Adidas. The 2 power brands have collaborated on denim in the past & this season are focusing their love on trainers. Adidas' signature high-top trainers are distressed & deconstructed & Nathan Stewart-Jarret from Misfits here models them perfectly.

Bread and Butter Berlin

Bread & Butter is an event that happens twice a year in Berlin & we were lucky enough to attend this season. A whole host of brands were representing from big denim brands such as Diesel & Wrangler through to smaller niche brands such as Gloverall & Grenson boots
(we'll be honest though there was quite a lot that didn't exactly woo us too)
The event happens in Berlin's old Templehoff airport which is pretty big space & all the brands have their own 'stalls' varying in size in direct relation to the size of the brand.
G-star's room was bigger than our office.
This picture doesn't exactly do it justice, outside it was cold & a bit bleak but inside it was a visual feast of AW trends.
Diesel took their theme of backstage at a gig & ran with it. The picture on the left is the entrance. the lights spelt out Diesel. Inside was dark & dingy & reminded us of The Astoria before they ripped it down. Sadface. Carl Marshall showed us round all the exciting things that Diesel are doing over the year. Carl had got boozy the night before in Soho House so fitted in nicely with the debauched rock star theme. That's dedication to your job!
This wall of jeans was impressive too, created for A.G jeans.
The denim was starched into shape. Mind boggling we think you'll agree.
If we went on any more the post would take up two pages, suffice to say it was very enlightening, we met a lot of interesting people & Berlin is a lot warmer in Summer!

It's Not Right But It's O.K

It has been debated many times these past few months about whether it is 'O.K' to fancy One Direction & in particular Harry and Zayn. Having seen Zayn looking adorable in this Diesel cable knit we are firmly on the 'it's O.K' camp.
Seeing him topless on Facebook however made us feel unclean.

Diesel Experiment: Day 1

The boys of the style team are on a mission to test Diesel's new denims. Their latest innovation Turbo jeans have a special dye in them that distresses the jeans quicker than your average pair. 30 to 60 days in fact, depending on how distressed you want them.
Today is day 1 & Frank & Chris's jeans are rather stiff as most new jeans tend to be & quite dark. (Though we could be wearing frankly anything judging by this picture)
We hope by day 20 they are a lovely shade of blue & the knees are shot.
Stay tuned!

Diesel's House Party

Diesel sure know how to throw a birthday bash. On Friday night they celebrated 10 years of it's UMusic projects. A host of stars where there including Little Boots, Eliza Doolittle & Jarvis Cocker & Jefferson Hack who both Dj'ed. Of course no Diesel post is complete without a mention of the lovely Carl Marshall, pictured here with the lovely Liza from Purple PR.

LFW: Diesel Party

The good thing about London Fashion Week is the menswear shows don't happen until Wednesday yet to we get to enjoy all the frivolity of the previous days (well, mostly nights)
Last night we drank cocktails at the Diesel store on New Bond Street in honour of their first collection with Sophia Kokosalaki.

Sexy Carl from Diesel Press doing what he does best hosting and...drinking!

We also found Spanish/Portuguese Angel (that's his real name), who runs the menswear department in this store, and I think we'll fast become regulars...

We also caught up with the duo that make up Jaiden RVA James, the new hot label that debuted last season and who were quickly snapped up by the likes of GAGA (Alejandro Video) and who also produce the magazine Rebel
