Can Anyone Honestly Look at this Picture & Tell Us Acne Isn't a Gay Brand?

Usually we're really on it, we know about a store opening or new range before the brands themselves do. On this occassion, however, we are a few days behind (Shooting for the October issue FYI) One of our favourtite brands, Acne opened their first U.K store in Mayfair on Thursday and a whole host of celebs we're there (including the luscious David Gandy)
Tomorrow we will tell you about Levi's new store on the moon.

Ones to Watch

Jesus Luz these are bright! www.gshock.com

Store Opening of the Year

Mayfair may have added a new Acne store to their portfolio, but Maidstone trumps them with a new Poundland shop opening this weekend and by happy co-incidence we were in the area. Becky from Coronation Street was in attendance rocking an on trend nautical look. Unfortunately our press passes didn't get us very far this time.

Don't Stop Believing (in tight trousers)

Our favourite part of Channel 5's hit show Don't Stop Believing was without question this guy's tight gold trousers (they are D&G)

SOMETIMES (just sometimes) THE HIGH ST GETS US DOWN

ARGHHHH! Today was stressful last minute shopping.... and this was what we were faced with.
Like, I know its the sales, but OMG!

What to Expect From Office in A/W

Respect to any straight man who attempts to wear these.

Model Love

Word has got back to us that there's a lot of love for our model Benardo (from 40° Models) in the current July issue & who are we to deny you more of his talents?
Here he is in Calvin Klein. (photography by Vincente De Paulo)

Tony Ward Undressed

Anyone harbouring mucky thoughts about Tony Ward since his modelling days back in the early nineties (clamped to the face of Madonna for most of '92) will be pleased to see his face on Wrangler's Blue Bell's web-site in an interactive site where you can move him around the screen and even tear his clothes off (though as fashion fans we were admiring the AW range as well as his pecs) We hope they do this soon with R-Pattz, though we doubt we would ever get any work done ever again. www.bluebelljeans.com

The Flipside of Fashion

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the press offices who lend us clothes for shoots. We are nothing without you! If only the clothes could sprout wings & leave of their own accord after a photo shoot our office wouldn't be such a mess...

In Full Bloom

Orlando Bloom has been signed up as the face of Hugo Boss Orange fragrance. A good choice. Here is a picture of him to jog your memory.

LETS GO ORGANIC!

So organic food's been a massive trend for posh people for quite some time now, and as for organic clothing we have seen a lot of crap that's made it hard to get into. Doug Porter doing it for Polo Ralph Lauren, however, may just be able to swing it for us. Woop woop!

CROCODILE SHOES

Check out these bad boys. Gola's new cheeky collaboration with the genius french brand JCDC. There are these 'Monster' Crocs, along with some similarly imaginative styles named 'Master' and 'Mister'. Check them all out when they hit the stores this coming September.
Prices range from £70 to £120, please visit Gola or JCDC

HIT IT JIMMY!...

SNEAK PREVIEW

We were very busy last Friday and here are the models snapped mid shoot, they definitely have been through the wars (hint hint, nudge nudge!)
From left to right is the martial arts NICK from Elite, Canadian traveller SAM from Select, US of A KYLE from Premier, Edward Furlong lookalike ROB from Select, and last but not least sexy SEBASTIAN from Select

The Enemy Strikes Back

It may not be a hot Brazilian in Calvins but credit where credit's due. Ken (of Barbie & Ken fame) looks sexy in Burberry Prorsum for the next issue of Esquire. *Applause*

Because in This Heat. It's All You Need to Wear

.

Sale Rules to Live By

1. Buy things you love not just because they’re cheap.

2.Do the old fashion maths. If it’s £100 but you’ll wear it 100 times then it’s worth it, if it’s £10 but you’ll probably never wear it it’s not.

3. Select pieces that work for summer but can be layered up in winter.

4. Think about the longevity. If it’s too trend-led, you probably won’t want to re-wear it next Spring.

5. Denim’s always a winner (unless it’s stonewashed)

6. Put together outfits in your head with clothes you already have in your wardrobe.

7. Go at the end when it’s the dregs. You may find your taste is completely off from everyone else’s (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, some people's taste is questionable)

8. Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to take off and put back on if your daring to try clothes on in the changing rooms.

9. Check the store's returns policy.

10. Mum always says if you buy something new you should throw something old out but we'll glide past that.

An Outtake From This Month's Fashion Story

You are welcome.
(Photography by Vincente De Paulo. Styling by Frank Strachan)

Festival Fashions

Glastonbury's over and Coachella is laid to rest for another year, but fear not as it's T in The Park this weekend. Consult DSquared2 for inspiration. Accessorise with a tent.

Short Shorts Season

It's expected of gay men to be ahead of straight men when it comes to fashion, that's a given. This year, however, we have seen a lot of seemingly straight men wearing theirs past the knee. That's fine, we'll let them have that, but that does mean we have to go one better. For July and August we encourage, nay, force you to wear your shorts at mid-thigh length. Straight guys girlfriends wouldn't dare let them wear their shorts that short. Advantage: Us

Cast a Spell

Sorry for lack of blogs today, been prepping for shoots which we're sure you will appreciate come August. I nice way to round off the day is a picture of Billy Joe Saunders, boxer and chosen face of Sunspel's 150th anniversary campaign. Superb.

Bag It Up

We have already raved about Stewart Grays bags in the magazine but now we're taking it to the blog. We love this bag, perfect for weekends away. Consider the £588 price tag a sound investment. www.stewartgrays.com

XTG Is Ready For Business

By a stroke of genius XTG opened their first UK store on Old Compton Street in Soho this Pride weekend. Co-incidence? We think not.
The store inside is bright and full of XTG treats. We love the pricing which is a direct conversion from Euro's meaning you get exiting prices such as £30.87 for a vest.
This is Julio. He will serve you.

The Fashions of London Pride

This weekend we attended London Pride armed with our beloved Casio Exilm EX-Z2000, the weather was hot, the men even more so. The drinks alas were warm. Here is a little run-down of our favourite outfits.
These men are one step ahead in AW's leather trend. You go girls!
slinky vest, denim cut-offs, hit-tops. We really hope these guys co-ordinated their outfits.
We enjoy a man in uniform
He's made the effort!
Soho was awash with nautical inspired looks. If this is a bit full on, lose the hat and put a denim shirt over the top.
Gay men have fought for 40 years so that this guy could wear denim hot-pants.
Hooray for equality!

Wimbledon fashions

Yes Nadal looks sexy and it's very tense right now but we can't help but be captivated by the crowds dapper wardrobes. Glad to see eveyone embracing a pastel. Good work

And this is Scott with shorter hair

He's so versatile.

Penguin Party

We love Original Penguin for it's amazing polos and preppy styling so we're very happy to be celebrating 55 years with them this week. In honour of such an event The Strange Boys and The Big Pink played sets while we chased the poor canape woman round the room (and into therapy)

New Face : Scott Sanders

from Premier models. We would.

Thank Lanvin it's Friday

We really love this Lanvin bag, it's a hot mess. It's part of their AW collection. We won't tell you the price as didn't dare ask ourselves. We expect the reply would be 'If you have to ask, you can't afford it' (disclaimer: though actually we've come to find that staff in expensive shops are actually very nice and nothing like the one's from Pretty Woman. Shame)

Lovely Things (the briefs, not the model)

Well he's quite cute too. These Diesel briefs are on sale at £9 www.diesel.com

Just to confuse you more

On Tuesday night (clutching our Casio Exilim) we attended a BBQ to launch Firetrap's spring summer 2011 range (which FYI will be in store in about January) From what we saw the trend for military shows no sign of slowing down. Great burgers too.

New Face : Sebastien

This is Sebastien and he is from Select Models. Hubba hubba.

Y-3 A/W

You may think that the fashion industry is all champagne and air-kissing but remember, while the general public frolics gaily in the streets in the blazing sun it is winter as far as we're
concerned. We love a bit of Y-3 and this teaser video gives a glimpse of what to expect come September. (full video released on 15th July) Moody!

"It's like a totally important designer"

Calvin Klein are to reproduce one of Cher's dresses from Clueless. The one where she comes downstairs and her Dad's all aghast at the size of the thing and then she covers it up with a see-through shirt. Classic! Anyway, the owner of a boutique in L.A asked Calvin Klein to re-create the dress for her store, and he did. We're not expecting you to buy it as it's $915 but we love this story.

I LEFT MY HEART IN RIO

Art Attack

We really like this collaboration between Lazy Oaf and Tate.
It reminds us of our school days (without the bullying) (N.B we were the bullies)
