Love That These Burberry Prorsum Rainmacs Are On Sale in Selfridges

At £895 it's a pretty penny for something that is essentially see through. Who knows it may even be a sample judging by the amount that came down the catwalk.
Well done Selfridges for stocking these. We'll take 5.

Man Day Revealed

One of our favourite dates in the fashion calendar, after Oscar night, is MAN day during London fashion week, which once again triumphantly follows the womens shows in September.
We are thrilled that this season the young designers showing will be a third time showing for Martine Rose, Shaun Samson (who we're pretty sure we accosted in Paris last month & told him we loved his work) & Matthew Miller, whose designs we adore
(see above) & we look forward to seeing how it has progressed.
The end.

Breakfast With Topman

This morning we went to the very lovely Rorganic in Marylebone for a press breakfast with Topman who are releasing their first ever fragrance and very nice it is too! We ate bacon rolls, scones, a lovely fruit salad & Chris put a foccacia in his bag for later.
The fragrances come on sale exclusively on the 22nd September at the Oxford Street store & Selfridges before going on sale nationwide the week after. It's also going into Boots & there's body wash which is actually a lot to take in on a Thursday morning.
They smell very good too which is quite important.

Oh My

Will Chalker for Gant underwear. Good work guys!
Remember when he held a baby tiger at the end of the Dolce show back in 2005?

Our Casting

A few highlights from our casting when we were up in Manchester. We had to chase one of these guys around Sports Direct. One of these sexy fellas is a vet, but can you guess who?!

It's Nice That

Asos have once more collaboarated with It's Nice That magazine on a range of vests featuring designs from five up and coming artists. As well as the vest you gets yourself a pack of stickers and the chance to win a bike. Which is nice (that)

Meow!

A short video of London Fashion Week favourite Martine Rose's collaboration with Cat boots. We like a lot.

Also the video kind of reminds us of The Clothes Show.
Which we miss wholeheartedly!

If Attitude Style Were Coitus Covers

Tropical beach background, stonewash denim. That's gotta be Elauan.
Round sunglasses, pastel hues, cuddly toys. Chris is all over this one.
Pants showing, sport socks, glitter background, naff as anything? That's Frank Strachan!

Diesel Underwear

Last week the lovely Carl Marshall gave us a brief glimpse of Diesel's latest underwear collection & no we can share the pics with you.

We Love Amy

Bloody Twitter informed us mid shoot about Amy Winehouse's sad death. we had to hold it together for the rest of the day lest the models mock us.
We then had a little cry that evening while watching endless repeats of her videos on TMF.
A lot of people have said some very nice things about her incredible talent but as well as being a bloody brilliant performer she was also incredibly funny and warm.

A Window Into Our Last Few Days

We assure you Frank does have a neck. A small insight into what we've been up to, travelling around by cab between locations in Manchester shooting local boys in fashion. We can't wait to show you the finished result, but before that there's a Brazilian Swimwear Story for you to enjoy in the new issue out this week!

Campaign Watch: DKNY

DKNY are very consistent with their campaign images aren't they?

There's Something About Ryan

We're not sure if it's just us but we get emails coming through quite frequently informing us that Ryan Gosling is out & about wearing Salvatore Ferragamo. Now is Ryan Gosling a style icon?
Is he very famous? We know that he was in The Notebook as our girlfriends are always banging on about how teary it is & a certain PR friend of our obsessively retweets The Notebook's Twitter account, but we digress. We think he looks very smart nonetheless.

Male Models Lip-Synching

We're not quite sure about the choice of song but props to Jason Wu for getting a host of male models to mine along to an old Elvis track.

The Goods Keep Coming

We loved the pastel versions of the Lazy Oaf bags which when they first came out last year but we're really digging these new styles.
Styled on Minnie Mouse & Outerspace. Funky!

This Is Bonkers

When Elauan's not playing a 6am game of tennis with Anna Wintour she likes to cycle on her Roberto Cavalli for Cicolette exercise bike.

Tanger Pants!

Rufskin have launched a new fit in their denim range, the Tanger Pant, in stretch denim with a drop crotch inspired by Arabic pants, super tight zipped calfs, and their signature sexy fit.

A Little Something For Your Ever Expanding Wardrobe

Lovebox

Yesterday the lovely team at River Island too us to Lovebox. After a quick prayer to Diana (Princess of Wales) the torrential rain cleared & we were able to watch Beth Ditto, Blondie, Kelis, Robyn & Scissor Sisters without fear of drowning in a sea of mud.
Here's a picture of Kelis snuggling up to Emmanuel from River Island's press team.
The lucky mare.

Last Nights Parties: Dolce & Gabbana/Mr Porter

Last night we made the long journey to Westfield in West London to celebrate the union of Mr Porter and Dolce & Gabbana, which is now being stocked online for AW. A host of celebs were there, most notable were David Gandy, Queen Latifa, Naomi Campbell, Peaches & Pixie, Kelly O (stumbling may we add) & Henry Holland.
No sign of Jameela Jamil or Grimmy though. Sadness.
Anders Soelvsten Thomsen of Love magazine fame posing with Queen Latifa. As you do.
Paul Watson, head of PR at Mr Porter looking very dashing.
This must have been when his wine curfew was broken.

Liberty x BStore Returns!

The second season of Liberty and BStore's collaboration continues apace, dropping instore later this month. The archives have been well & truly trawled with Liberty's signature ditzy florals harmoniously joined with BStore's edgy tailoring. the hat's fun too!

Jonathan Saunders SS12

He does a marvellous trade in bold patterned prints for ladies but thankfully after all these years he's designing for guys too. We want.

Prints Please!

We absolutely love Marni's Spring Summer collection. colour blocking, zingy prints & leightweight layers. Marni can do no wrong.

Fashion Week Countdown

Having only just recovered from the Paris menswear shows, we can now turn our attention to the next batch. An email dropped in our inbox this morning detailing the provisional list for London Fashion Weeks schedule! Beginning on the 16th September & ending with a bang on the 21st with menswear day (aka our day) Before everyone scurries onto a plane to Milan.
We're counting the days.

Breakfast with Carolyn

All the best men's titles were represented this morning at St Pauls of St John Street. Miss Lee avoided the devilled kidneys but admired the new Carolyn Massey collection for Asos. Dropping in October and 15 piece strong, it's great that design this good can be so easily accessible to the masses and we imagine at good affordable prices too. Watch out for the Jamie Morgan images supporting the launch, which are super hot too.

Prada: Making Of Video

As you know we like anything that goes behind the scenes, lifts the lid & generally lays bare the inner workings of the fashion industry. Here is a video of the Tobie Maguire shoot which is nice. No word on what they ate though.

Stighlorgan

Today we have been introduced to this very nice Irish brand Stighlorgan. Purveyors of v.nice accessories; namely bags, hats & belts.
We also like the accompanying images of a guy looking longingly & looking well accessorised while doing so. Who says men can't multitask?!

Love These!

We'd be lying if we said we hadn't any cartoon crushes. He-man, Captain Planet, Bananaman, hell even Spongebob's quite sexy at times. That's why we were immediately taken with these illustrations for Burkman Bros high summer swimwear collection.
He looks good with his hands, which can only be a good thing.

Festival Freebies

Two tents have just arrived in the office for Frank & Elauan as well as a pair of Palladium shoes & this handy little festival survival kit. We have sampled the little colourful items resembling drugs & can confirm that they have no hallucinogenic qualities,
but we do have minty fresh breath!

Campaign Watch: Y-3

Love the atmospheric feel of the new ads from Y-3.
It makes us want to sing songs from Goldfrapp's first album.

Monday 11 July 2011

Papafranki

Here's Frank in freelance stylist mode, papped making sure Mollie doesn't hoick her dress up any higher. The cheeky mare.

Friday's Dinner

We can wholly recommend Australasia at The Avenue in Manchester where we spent our Friday night. After a round of sushi, steak & a lovely laksa, rounded off with two rounds of cocktails.
We were ready to hit the town!

After The Casting

We felt elated at a job well done, and then proceeded to crash, exhausted by everything we had taken in over the past 36 hours. This was before we found sparkle, and found a new wind!

Poledancing Boyz

Our night out in Manchester progressed from a beautiful meal, through the Northern Quarter, to The basement of Canal St's Queer, Boyz club. Where as our eyes adjusted, this lad, proceeded to whip off his clothes (slight getting jeans over trainers newbie glitch ) and gyrate against a pole.
